The Golden Geek Awards are loc în fiecare an la BGG.Con în Dallas, Texas, iar nominalizații sunt selectați dintr-o selecție de jocuri lansate în decursul anului precendent. Câștigătorii sunt nominalizați și selectați prin vot de către comunitățile de pe BoardGameGeek.com, RPGGeek.com, și VideoGameGeek.com.
